Best dive-season / How to get there: From Powell River, drive north to Okeover Inlet and the government dock near the provincial park. It's a simple entry, right on the boat launch or next to the breakwater. Watch for boat traffic, of course. The breakwater and nearby boulder slope of dive site Okeover Inlet are crammed with fish all year. The easy access makes for great night diving, too, and, even in winter the fish come out of hiding at night. Hundreds of rockfish, perch, lingcod, grunt sculpins and more. Saw an elusive red butula on my last dive there.
